It is with great honour and deep reverence that The Bliss Comforter Foundation join others to mark this significant global event—World Cancer Day.

The Foundation is a Non-governmental Organization saddle with the responsibility of promoting and Restoring Human Dignity.

Today being the 4th of February, 2026 is a day to reflect, to unite, and to take action against one of the most formidable challenges of our time: cancer.

Cancer does not discriminate. It touches every life—whether through personal battle, the pain of a loved one, through the stories we hear in our communities , or even in the Social Media space .

The statistics are staggering, but today, The Bliss is not focusing on the numbers but on the lives behind the numbers .

I mean the survivors, the warriors, and the families who continue to hope, to fight, and to support.

The theme of World Cancer Day this year is both a challenge and a call to action.

It is a reminder that cancer care is not universally accessible, and there are gaps, deep and painful gaps in how people are diagnosed, treated, and supported, especially in low-resource settings.

Access to care is not to be considered as a privilege but a basic human right. We must work tirelessly to ensure that no one is left behind in this fight due to Social Class, Race, Sex or Religion.

As a foundation that believes in the transformative power of compassion, we recognize the critical importance of early detection, adequate treatment, and psychosocial support for those affected by cancer.

Our mission is simple, yet powerful: to comfort and to care by advocating for those who need it most.

But while our work is important, it is also vital to acknowledge the power of collective action.

The fight against cancer is not one that can be won by individuals alone; it requires the collaboration of Governments, organizations, Healthcare Professionals, the International Community and our brothers and sisters in diaspora for every single one is unique .and peculiar

Today, we called each of us whether you are a survivor, a caregiver, a healthcare worker, a philanthropist or a policymaker to stand together in the fight against cancer.

This battle is not just about medical treatment; it is also about raising awareness, advocating for a positive policy, and creating supportive communities where no one faces cancer alone.

The Bliss Comforter Foundation is committed to not only raising awareness with others about cancer but to also provide emotional support.

As we observe World Cancer Day, let us also remember that hope is our most powerful weapon. Every day is a new opportunity to be united by Unique .

this means ensuring better access to treatment, providing emotional support by simply lending a listening ear, and empathy . This will play a significant role to those in need.
